Its been a long time: One Piece Chapter 742: I'll Always Be By Your Side

One Piece 724 with the title I'll always be by your side was gOda's redemption from last chapter's disappointments and the scheduled break.
The title sounds romantic. Indeed it is. Even the alpacas snored, salivated and fell asleep while Robin was storytelling. Kidding aside.
The chapter started with the continuation of Kyros' flashback. He fought against King Riku who disguised as Ricky. What the statue stated was real about his fights and wins. Kyros is tough in the outside but quite emotional in the inside and easily cries. What a man. The Love-and-Hate relationship between Kyros and Scarlet went on for like 5 pages?! Though what made me amaze was Riku's wife. She does resemble Viola but no trace of Scarlet. Perhaps different mothers? And the more I see it, the more I love King Riku, how he rules as a King, as a father, and as a grandfather. He is the man!
The tear-jerking moment was the promise of the whole family meeting at the flower fields. Promises were made to be broken. Kyros was trapped with two seastone cuffs. And the reason he became a one-legged toy soldier was he sacrificed a leg just to get away. Due to Sugar's power, Kyros, the legend, was forgotten and so was the promise.
I can see Dellinger in one of the panels. Perhaps he didn't grow old too?! And what happened to the beautiful secretary image, Jora?
It seems that Doflaemon's disguise was found out.
The cards are now slowly revealing.

The Controversial One Piece Chapter 742: I'll always be by your side

The chapter was mostly about Kyros' flashback: a soldier of the riku army, the love story between him and Scarlet, the birth of Rebecca and how he became a one-legged toy soldier.
We had a sneak peek at the coliseum, how Sabo is having a great time against Burgess and Barty keeping up with Diamante's verbal bullying against Rebecca.
Franky did his job quite well since he made the fight long enough to give usopp time. And come to think of it, he isn't in his shogun and he had the 3 coliseum fighters against him: Machvise, Senior and Dellinger with the other DD family members and fodder marines. He deserves a standing ovation.
And while everyone is rooting for Usopp to do something, we can see a clearly trapped and lost sogeking. Trebol even reported to Doffy that he doesn't need to be that concerned as to get Sugar back to the Royal Palace.
Their underestimation of the vivid picture of Usoland's defeat started the gag and controversy of how the SOP was successful. A true version of turn-of-events.
Avid readers would dream that Usopp will use his shooting skills to put the tatabasco into Sugar's mouth. She will become unconscious. Toys would turn back to their human forms.
But we're talking about gOda here.
This isn't the first time that we thought of such an amazing plot and hoped it would somehow reach gOda's wide imagination. For reasons of character development and such, I would say that, no one other than gOda would do justice to the last page of this chapter. I'll even rate it as 8/10. Its amazing how a mangaka remains unpredictable even though a lot of his fans have been reading his works since 1997.
What more can we ask for?! I quote "The end doesn't justify the means." Usopp fought even though he knew from the very beginning that he can't win against the two. It was mere luck giveaway from the heavens, perhaps Norland or Enel.
And what not? This happened to Perona in Thriller Bark. We didn't quite knew what Sugar is afraid of or disgusted for?!

but my theory still remains that SOP was succesful because the tatabasco was used to keep sugar unconscious.
